I finished my first book for this challenge, The Blood of Flowers by Anita Amirrezvani, and just wrote my first book blog review. Be gentle.

My book review is up, for Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, by Lisa See. I picked it up just because I knew I was looking for a book with a plant in the title. I hadn't heard of the book before, and had no idea it would be so good!

For my plant book, I read Ivy & Bean. It's a book about two girls who think they don't like each other, and then they become great friends. One of them thinks she's a witch and has to get her friend out of trouble. I like it, and think it would be great for 9 and 10 year olds who like books about friendship. This is my fourth What's in a Name book. Next I am reading Clementine, which is a food title.

I have a sweet title for this one: MY MON HUGS TREES by Robyn Ringgold with illustrations from Vidya Vasudevan.
A young girl enjoyes the outdoors with her Mom, who talks to flowers, helps wayward bugs along on their way, & yes, hugs trees. Sweet.
